Job Description

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and keeping the store organized. This role involves receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that storage areas are clean and orderly.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and updated.

Receiving Goods: Accept deliveries, verify the quantity and quality of goods received, and update inventory records.

Dispatching Goods: Prepare and dispatch orders, ensuring that goods are properly packaged and labeled.

Stock Organization: Arrange and organize stock in the storage area, ensuring easy access and retrieval.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.

Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Reordering Supplies: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to reorder goods as necessary.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure that the storage area complies with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Customer Service: Assist customers and staff with locating and retrieving stock as needed.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

    Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

    Organized: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain a tidy and efficient storage area.

    Reliable: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.

    Communication: Good communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and assisting customers.

    Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues promptly.
